Attendance and Punctuality
Students are expected to be present at all classes. Attendance records are kept. Students failing to maintain satisfactory attendance will be so advised by the instructor. Thereafter, if attendance fails to improve the instructor, acting at his discretion, may dismiss a student for unsatisfactory attendance. All students will be required to be in attendance at all classroom instruction unless other arrangements have been made with the instructor.
Dropout or Leave-of-Absence Policies.
In the event that a student must drop out of the training, a refund will be given. Tuition is prorated upon course withdrawal. A refund will also be given for leave-of-absence unless a student wishes to take up the course at another time, in which case full credit for the amount paid will be given. See cancellation policies below.
Cancellation and Refund Policies and Rights
Students have the right to cancel at any time to receive a refund for the part of the course not taken. Enrolment Agreement and Notice of Cancellation forms, available upon request.
Upon written application for cancellation of an enrolment agreement delivered to Martin Kiely Hypnosis Centre, either in person or by registered post, within 3 working days after, such an agreement is signed and up until the date upon which the course is scheduled to start in which the student is enrolled, the student shall be refunded all monies paid except 100 Euro to Martin Kiely Hypnosis Centre for administration costs.
Cancelling enrolment after classes were scheduled to begin, whether the enrolee was in attendance will permit a refund of tuition only according to schedule outlined below. The minimum refund allowable per student shall be based upon the following formula for a refund
“Percentage of Attendance Time” to “Total Time of the course.”
Up to 10% - 90% refundable
Up to 25% - 75% refundable
Up to 50% - 50% refundable
Over 50% - No refund
NOTE: All course materials remain the property of Martin Kiely Hypnosis Centre and must be returned should a student cancel enrolment at any stage. No refund will be issued until all course materials are returned and received by Martin Kiely Hypnosis Centre.
Grading, Student Assessment, Conduct.
Students must do satisfactory work to be able to receive a certificate. Students are also expected to behave considerately to all class members and to the instructor. Quality of work is determined by assignments, class participation, ability to perform hypnosis skilfully, attendance and performance on exams. All students records are maintained at the Centre.
Students Complaint Procedure.
Students complaints will be resolved with the student and the centre director orally or in writing. Complaints will be assessed with all due fairness to determine their validity and to see if outside parties, such as the National Guild of Hypnotists, must be involved in their solution.
Admission Requirements.
The minimum level of education required is Leaving certificate or equivalent. Students will be assessed to determine if this is the right path for them.
Students will be asked to do some home study, to practice, and to complete individual projects.
Language Requirements.
Classes are presented in English only.
